What Each Selection Means

This is here to help customers estimate more accurately instead of guessing which option sounds right.

Brush Hogging / Mowing

Choose this when the job is mostly open ground, field maintenance, or lighter regrowth. If the site is truly woody and overgrown, mulching or tilling is usually a better fit.

Forestry Mulching

Choose this when you want brush, saplings, trails, edges, or access cleaned up without full excavation. It is ideal for opening land up and improving usability.

Subsoil Forestry Tilling

Choose this when the goal is more than cleanup. This is for forestry subsoiling, subsoil land reclamation, root disruption, pasture prep, and seed-ready transformation.

Lane / Trail Clearing

Use this when the project is a defined path, access road, ATV trail, or hunting trail rather than an open field or whole-acre clearing project.

Seeding and Erosion Control

Use this when the ground is already close to ready and the main need is establishing cover. If the site is still rough or full of woody regrowth, clearing may need to happen first.

Gravel Driveway / Parking Lot

This option is for grading and spreading labor, not full material supply or drainage redesign. It helps set expectations before a site-specific quote.

Rule of thumb: if your goal is "make it look better," mulching or mowing is often enough. If your goal is "make this ground usable for something new," tilling is usually the more accurate category.
